James and Emily chose to have their engagement session at Emily’s family home in Freeland, MI. It’s a beautiful property full of wonderful trees and excellent light at sunset 🙂
It’s just the road from Leaman’s Green Apple Barn… one of our favorite fall family destinations. And it’s also very close to Bayne’s Apple Valley. If you can’t tell… we kind of love to visit apple farms in the fall. The cider and doughnuts get us every time!
Anyways… back to the engagement session. We have photographed many sessions at this Freeland family property over the years. Emily is one of 10 siblings! We have taken senior photos and family sessions galore around their house. This is an exciting time for their family as they begin an era of weddings and engagement sessions!
After the family property, we ventured to a farm down the road to finish off the session. This farm had SO MANY places to photograph. We could hardly contain ourselves. We just love all the textures and colors we found on the farm. There were several small barns, walls, ivy, green, and so much goodness all around. We could have stayed here for hours and photographed all night with these two. But beyond all of the beautiful scenery, was the love these two couldn’t help but fill the whole session with! James and Emily are so in love. And you can see it in every single photograph. It was really hard to make these two stop laughing for a few serious photos!
We are so looking forward to the wedding in the mountains of Colorado next year! They plan to get married outside of Denver about an hour into the mountains. We are super excited to photograph in that scenery and spend a few days with this lovely couple and their family.
